How search ranking works

You should know exactly how this works

Almost no marketplace explains its ranking. We do — because if position could be bought, publishing it would be embarrassing. It cannot, so it is not.

  1. Local pros with verified events in that cityProfessionals with real verified history in the market being searched, shown with the Local Pro badge. Local presence and confirmed work matter more than proximity alone.
  2. Local pros still building their recordProfessionals based in the searched market who have not yet accumulated verified events in that specific city.
  3. Extended coverage marketsProfessionals who serve the market through Extended Coverage. Visible, but never ranked above someone with verified local history.

Pricing, answered plainly

  • Is EventConnective really always free for hosts?

    Yes, completely. Creating an account, searching, messaging, creating events and leaving reviews are free. We have no plans to charge hosts — it is written into our Terms of Service.

  • Why do professionals pay if hosts don't?

    Professionals benefit directly: search visibility, analytics, business tools and a verified record that sets them apart. Hosts benefit indirectly, because a healthy professional community means more good vendors to choose from.

  • Do you take a cut of what I pay my vendor?

    No. Payments are arranged directly between the host and the professional. There is no commission and no booking fee. Where a pro chooses to take card payments through the platform, they pay a 0.5% processing fee — the host never does.

  • Can I cancel the Pro Plan at any time?

    Yes, with no notice period or exit fee. Your verified record, reviews and endorsements remain yours permanently — your profile simply leaves search until you resubscribe.
