Terms of Service

Who we are, and what this service does

EventConnective is a marketplace that connects people planning events with the professionals who work at them. We list professionals, we let hosts contact them, and we record whether the work actually happened.

We are not a party to the agreement between a host and a professional. When you book someone through this site, the contract for that work is between the two of you. We provide the introduction and the record; we do not supply the service itself.

Accounts

You need an account to contact a professional, create an event or leave a review. You must give accurate details and keep your password to yourself.

You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access to it.

Reviews and the Verified Event Chain

A review can only be written after a completed Verified Event Chain: a host created an event, tagged a professional, and both sides afterwards confirmed the work was done.

This is the core of the service, so we are specific about what it means:

• You cannot review a professional you did not hire through the platform.
• A professional cannot remove, edit or pay to suppress a review about them. They may publish one reply.
• We do not remove reviews on request, including our own request, except where a review breaches the rules below.
• We may remove a review that contains personal data about a third party, unlawful content, or content that is abusive rather than critical.

Ranking

Search position is derived from verified events, review scores, response times and dispute history. It is not for sale.

We do not offer promoted placement, sponsored listings or paid boosts, and we will not introduce them without changing this document first.

Payments

Hosts pay professionals directly. We do not take a commission on a booking and we do not hold your money.

Professionals pay a flat subscription for their listing. That subscription is the only thing we charge for. It renews monthly until cancelled, and cancelling stops the next charge rather than refunding the current period.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Create an event or review that did not happen.
• Contact professionals for anything other than a genuine enquiry.
• Scrape, copy or resell listings, reviews or contact details.
• Impersonate another person or business.
• Attempt to interfere with the ranking system.

Suspension

We may suspend an account that breaches these terms. Where we do, we will say which term was breached.

A suspended professional's completed reviews stay published. Removing them would let a bad actor erase their record by getting themselves banned.

Liability

We are responsible for running the platform. We are not responsible for the quality, safety or legality of the services professionals provide, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome from a booking.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell account holders before it takes effect rather than quietly changing the date at the top.
