About us

A marketplace built on earned trust

The event industry runs on reputation, and reputation online has been broken for a decade. We are fixing the part everyone else gave up on: proving the work actually happened.

Why we built it

We're fixing the part everyone gave up on

Every event marketplace has the same problem, and none of them will say it out loud: the reviews are not trustworthy. Anyone can write one. Nobody has to prove they hired the vendor, or that the event happened at all.

That failure is not neutral. It punishes exactly the professionals you would want to hire — the ones spending their time doing the work rather than manufacturing social proof — and it leaves hosts making the single most expensive decision of their year on evidence they cannot check.

So we started from the opposite end. Instead of detecting fake reviews after they are written, we made them impossible to write. A review on EventConnective requires a completed Verified Event Chain: a host created an event, tagged the professional, and both confirmed afterwards that the work was done.

The consequences run through everything else. If reviews are real, ranking can be based on them — which means there is no promoted placement to sell, which means the business model has to be a flat subscription rather than a cut of somebody's booking. One decision, and the rest follows.

What we hold to

The rules we won't break

Constraints, not aspirations. Each one costs us a revenue line we have decided not to have.

  • Evidence over claims

Anyone can say they are excellent. We are only interested in what two parties independently confirmed.

  • Transparency by default

We publish how ranking works and what feeds a trust tier. If we cannot explain a decision, we should not be making it.

  • The professional's side

Vendors are not inventory. Their record belongs to them, their rate is theirs to set, and we never take a cut of their work.

  • No pay-to-win

There is no promoted placement to sell, so there is never a reason to sell it. That constraint is deliberate and permanent.
