Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it.
Last updated July 30, 2026
Draft. This document was written by the product team and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It describes how the platform actually behaves today, but it should not be relied on as legal advice, and it needs professional review before launch.
The short version
We collect what the service needs to work and nothing we cannot justify. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not build profiles of you for anyone else's benefit.
What we collect
From everyone who uses the site:
- Pages you visit and searches you run, so we can improve the directory.
- Basic device and browser information, for security and compatibility.
What we collect from account holders
When you create an account we also hold:
- Your name, email address and city.
- Events you create, enquiries you send and messages you exchange.
- Reviews you write, and the chain reference each one is bound to.
- For professionals: your public listing, packages, availability and subscription status.
Why we hold it
To operate your account and show you your own records. To let hosts and professionals reach each other. To verify that an event happened, which is what makes a review trustworthy. To detect fraud and abuse. To meet legal obligations.
We do not use your data to train advertising models, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.
What is public
A professional's listing is public: business name, description, pricing, packages, availability, rating, reviews and verified event count.
A review is public, along with its rating, its chain reference and the type and date of the event. The host's full name is not published — reviews appear under a first name and initial, or as a verified host.
A host's account area, messages, enquiries and event details are never public.
Who we share it with
With the professional you contact, so they can answer you. With service providers who host our infrastructure and send our email, under contract and only to do that work. With authorities where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data. We have never done so and this policy would have to change before we could.
How long we keep it
Account data for as long as your account is open, and then for a limited period afterwards for legal and accounting reasons.
Reviews and chain records are kept indefinitely. They are the platform's public record, and deleting them retroactively would let history be rewritten.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your account and the personal data attached to it.
- Export your data in a portable format.
