Accessibility

Our commitment

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the site. Accessibility is treated as part of building a page, not an audit performed afterwards.

What that means in practice

Throughout the site:

• Every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring.
• Colour is never the only way information is conveyed — every status badge carries a text label as well as a tone.
• Text meets AA contrast against its background, and small text is held to the stricter ratio rather than the large-text exception.
• Images that carry meaning have alternative text; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
• Forms use real labels tied to their inputs, and errors are announced rather than only shown in red.
• Data tables use proper headers and announce their sort state.
• Layouts reflow to 320px without horizontal scrolling, and respect a user's reduced-motion preference.

Where we know we fall short

We would rather list these than claim they do not exist:

• The availability calendar is navigable by keyboard but is dense, and a month grid is demanding for screen-reader users. An agenda alternative is planned.
• Some analytics charts convey trends visually. The underlying figures are available as text beside them, but the charts themselves are not fully described.
• Third-party embedded content, where present, is outside our direct control.

Assistive technology

We test with keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom to 200%, and screen readers on both desktop and mobile. We do not require any particular assistive technology to use the site.

Tell us when we get it wrong

If something on this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to know — a specific report about one page is more useful to us than a general complaint, but send either.
